Chopard's Fairytale Collection

Inspired By Disney Princesses

After Barneys's beautiful collaboration, Disney does not fail to surprise us with their new
collaboration with Chopard.

In both fairy tales and real life, the most exquisite jewels usually involve the fairest princesses of all, Walt Disney will finally make ladies sparkle in their magnificent make believe limited edition jewels thanks to Chopard

To Make the dream more magnificent the collaboration will be displayed in Harrods
until January with all of these one-off pieces available for sale.

Chopard’s Belle necklace, earrings and ring were inspired by Belle’s iconic layered, yellow dress.

This piece was inspired by Mulan's fighting spirit and unique flower blossom
Snow white's poison apple

The perfect piece that represents Cinderella's blue ball room dress
Aurora's forest friends

My personal favorite Rapunzel's hair locks

The floating flowers Tiana and her frog prince floated on, Jasmine's exotic desert of agraba pendant,
Ariel's mermaid tail and Pocahontas's colors of the wind bracelet.

All photos courtesy of Chopard.
Beautiful collection but I still favor Barneys's Collaboration.

Disney exists in Barneys

Fashion became more magical thanks to Barneys, Cant say enough...

Disney Electric Holiday

starring Minnie Mouse dressed in Lanvin & Alber Elbaz…!

In mid-March, six Barneys New York executives traveled out West for a fun day at Disneyland. The group — including chief executive officer Mark Lee, creative director Dennis Freedman and senior vice president Charlotte Blechman, as well as executives from communications and visual — toured Walt Disney’s apartment and went on rides like It’s a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain and Captain EO.
For this season they season Barneys decided to collaborate with Disney and create the a campaign for the holiday windows and they named it "Electric Holiday".

The theme is a riff on Disney’s famous electrical parade, as well as the special lighting installations so central to the New York holiday season and the flashbulbs of fashion runways.
Barneys worked really closely with Disney for the to create a masterpiece that is as much real as the world of fashion. The character included were dressed by famous designers

Mickey is dressed by Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga,
Minnie by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin,
Goofy by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain,
Daisy by Dolce & Gabbana,
Cruella by Rick Owens,
Princess Tiana by Proenza Schouler
and Snow White by Peter Copping for Nina Ricci.

What makes it even more special, the characters were adjusted to be
5 foot 11 to be seen as real models.

Fashion seems to be high on Disney’s agenda these days. For a different project, the company recently tapped several London designers, including Giles Deacon, Michael van der Ham and Richard Nicoll, to celebrate Minnie Mouse’s status as a cartoon fashion plate, and Meadham Kirchhoff will unveil a Minnie Mouse collaboration during its spring 2013 show. Proceeds of sales of the project’s items will go to the British Fashion Council/Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation.
As for Barneys, They are offering limited edition items that you can also find on their website.

This collaboration is like one of my dreams come true Disney and Fashion combined together...Nothing ca get better than this.

Its show time

World Diabetes Day

Lets take a moment and support all our diabetic loved ones by wearing BLUE for the day....

The blue circle is known as the universal symbol for diabetes. The whole purpose was to give the diabetes an identity to raise more awareness, grab attention of the public and show support to fight against diabetes.

The symbol was originally developed for the campaign that resulted in the passage of United Nations Resolutions 61/225 "World Diabetes Day."

Why a circle? the shape occurs frequently in nature and has been used a lot. its significance is overwhelming and positive. In various cultures it symbolizes unity, life and health thats what made the campaign strong and special.

Why blue? simply its the color of the sky and the United Nations which is a symbol of unity and its the only nation that is signaling all governments to fight diabetes.

The symbol is owned by the International Diabetes Federation.

I never knew that this symbol had a powerful cause to fight a very common disease.

Please Spread Awareness to Fight Diabetes.
